Each year, the College of EMS honors several exemplary faculty and staff with one of the awards listed below.

Faculty and staff may nominate EMS personnel for all four awards.

  • EMS Excellence in Academic Advising Award
  • EMS Excellence in Research and Scholarly Activities Award
  • EMS Excellence in Teaching Award
  • Dale Dixon Professor of Engineering Award

Students may nominate EMS faculty and staff for the following awards:

  • EMS Excellence in Academic Advising Award
  • EMS Excellence in Teaching Award

2022 EMS Awardees

  • Dr. Danny Xiao, associate professor of civil engineering, Excellence in Academic Advising
  • Dr. Ian MacKenzie, assistant professor of chemistry, Excellence in Teaching
  • Dr. Thomas Zolper, associate professor of mechanical engineering, Dale Dixon Professor of Engineering Award
