Dr. Thomas J Zolper

Dr. Zolper earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Zolper's doctoral research focused on molecular rheology and tribological characterization of silicone-based polymers for Dow-Corning. He also worked as a visiting scholar at Northwestern University to support additive research undertaken by Ashland (Valvoline) and Argonne National Laboratory. Currently, Dr. Zolper and his students are working on several projects for the United States Geological Survey to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. Dr. Zolper also has ongoing projects for the Dairy Innovation Hub and the Thompson Center for Public Leadership.
Prior to joining UW-Platteville he worked as a design engineer and project manager in the diesel transport industry.
