The University of Wisconsin-Platteville chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary works with Collegiate Marketing Inc. to provide rental lofts to students on campus. The Department of Residence Life is excited to offer a loft delivery option to have the loft pieces delivered to their room before they move-in at no additional charge if ordered by August 22nd, 2019.Collegiate Marketing handles all ordering requests. Due to an increase in student population and the popularity of this program it is strongly advised that you pre-order a loft. If you would like to order a loft or have any additional questions about the rental lofts, please contact Collegiate Marketing.

Many of our residents have found that lofts enable them to use the floor space in their rooms more efficiently.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Am I allowed to bring my own loft?

A: No. If a student wishes to loft their bed, they must rent a bed loft using the appropriate Residence Life office rental application. DIY lofts pose a liability risk as they can be dangerous.

Q: Am I able to rent a loft throughout the year?

A: Yes! Please contact Collegiate Marketing and email lofts-l@uwplatt.edu to rent a loft after the academic year has started.

Q: What happens to my loft if I move?

A: When you move halls you can take your loft with you or obtain a loft for that building's loft style for no charge. Please email lofts-l@uwplatt.edu to arrange a time to return your old loft. It is highly recommended that you email at least a week in advance to arrange a time with a loft coordinator to drop off your loft at the Morrow Hall basement.

A: The futons that are sold by Collegiate Marketing are 60" wide by 36" deep and weigh 53 lbs. The futon mattress is 73" by 52" with a thickness of 4".

Q: Are tools required to assemble a loft?

A: To see how to assemble a loft please view the instructional video to the right. To assemble a loft you will need two people, an adjustable wrench, a screwdriver, and an allen wrench. While these tools may be checked out from the main desk, it is recommended that families bring their own tools during move-in, as many families will be checking out these tools at the same time.

Q: Can I remove furniture from my room?

A: Furniture may be rearranged within the room, however, the only pieces of furniture that may be removed are the two wooden headboards of the bed. These pieces may be taken to a student's home for the academic year, but must be returned prior to finals week to reassemble the bed and avoid an additional charge.
