Through the support of Pioneers near and far, UW-Platteville works hard to advance our community, drive innovation, and transform lives. We have a network of over 60,000 proud alumni living in all 50 states and worldwide, but you don’t have to be a graduate to be a part of our proud tradition of excellence—we collaborate with companies and individual donors throughout the world in an effort to positively impact communities large and small.
As a friend of the university, you’ll have the opportunity to connect, share, and celebrate throughout the year—on campus and across the country! Whether it’s through events like golf outings and networking dinners, following us on social media or donations of your money, time, and talent, you’ll find plenty of ways to showcase your Pioneer Spirit.

Recruit Future Pioneers
- Introduce yourself to the Admissions Counselor in your region.
- Are you an educator or school counselor? Promote UW-Platteville in your school.
Be an Engaged Alum
- Fill out your Alumni Graduation form or update your information.
- Wear your Pioneer gear and share a photo on our Facebook Page.
Support Pioneers
- Participate in our annual Pioneers Day of Giving.
- Sign up for monthly recurring gifts of $5 per month. Small gifts add up to make a BIG difference.

Recruit Future Pioneers
- Recommend and encourage prospective students to schedule a tour at UW-Platteville.
- Refer a Future Pioneer to UW-Platteville.
Pioneer Career Development
- Refer information about an internship in your workplace.
- Post an entry-level job on Handshake.
- Offer to speak on a career panel or at another career event.
- Keep your professional information up-to-date on LinkedIn, and connect with current students.
- Mentor a student or recent graduate, review resumes, or answer a student's question about your career.
Be an Engaged Alum
- Update your alumni information and share your alumni news.
- Nominate an alum for an Outstanding, Distinguished, or College Alumni Award.
- Volunteer at Homecoming.
- Host an alumni event.
- Attend an alumni event and wear your Pioneer gear.
- Submit a class note.
- Show your Pioneer Spirit. Wear Pioneer gear and share on Alumni and Friends Facebook page.
Support Pioneers
- Make an annual gift to the UW-Platteville Foundation.
- Increase your gift annually.
- Establish a legacy gift by naming the UW-Platteville Foundation in your estate.
- Check with your employer to see if they provide a matching gift benefit.
- Make a special gift to an athletics team, an academic department, or Pioneers Helping Pioneers.
