A University of Wisconsin-Platteville parking permit is required in all university parking lots except for metered parking stalls. A sign located by each parking lot entrance designates the type of permit required.
Residence hall permit parking is enforced 24 hours a day, 6 p.m. Sunday evening through Friday noon during the academic year.
Meters are enforced Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is no parking allowed in any metered stall 2 to 6 a.m. This includes all parking lots and meters on University Plaza and Circle Drive.
It’s the driver's responsibility to ensure that he/she has purchased a valid parking permit and that the license plate entered into the permit application is accurate. If the information is incorrect, a parking citation will be issued.
A registered student is entitled to purchase a permit for one vehicle license plate and one motorcycle license plate. Faculty and Staff can add more than one vehicle license plate and more than one motorcycle license plate to their permit. Only one vehicle will be allowed on campus at a time, unless multiple permits are purchased.
The type of permit is based on the student's residency while attending UW-Platteville. It is the student's responsibility to contact UW-Platteville Police if his/her residence changes. A permit will not be exchanged unless the new address is confirmed through the Residence Life or Registrar's Office.
The UW-Platteville Parking Rules and Regulations is available online and should be reviewed before parking on campus.
Permit Transfers- All transfers of parking permits must be completed at the University Police Department Office. Privately selling and/or transferring the permit to another person is prohibited and subject to fines up to $400.
The UW-Platteville Parking Lot Map is also available online and can be downloaded and printed.
