The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has long been known as a pioneer in the field of distance education. That reputation and experience were recognized again, as UW-Platteville was named as offering the best online student services in the state by Intelligent.com.
Intelligent based the rankings on six categories: tuition costs, admission, retention and graduation rates, faculty and reputation, as well as the student resources provided for online students. UW-Platteville earned its ranking, in part, because of its student advisory board, mentorship program, student support opportunities and abundance of other online student resources.
"It is an honor to have our services for students recognized," said Amy Foley, associate director of the Office of Professional Program Support. "We value and understand the unique perspective and needs of online education, and we are designed to be able to meet those needs. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to meet these needs in collaboration with faculty and other departments across campus. I am proud of their dedication to students and student support.”
UW-Platteville was the first state university to offer a 100% online degree program. The university now offers online associate, bachelor's, master's and certificate programs. All are backed by 150 years of academic excellence fostered by the brick-and-mortar campus. The university's focus is to offer flexible, career-relevant programs designed to impart the skills and knowledge students need to achieve their career goals.
