Congratulations on Being Admitted to UW-Platteville

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville distance student advising team is ready and excited to help you reach your academic goals. Throughout your time with us, you can count on your advisor to assist you in navigating through your program while connecting you with the resources you will need to succeed.

We want to give you the best support we can in a manner that's convenient for you. While we will ask how you'd like to be contacted, please know that we will also send emails and call you during the registration period to ensure you're on track.

Prior to Registration Opening for Your Admit Term

  • You will receive a welcome email from your advisor containing basic information and an advising syllabus.
  • After you've received your welcome email, contact your advisor to set up an appointment.
  • The initial advising session is required for all undergraduate students and is recommended for all graduate students. Your advisor is more than happy to talk with you about your credit evaluation (if applicable), academic requirements, and can also answer questions about online courses and using PASS and Canvas.
  • Additional resources you can view include the admission guide (undergraduate or graduate) and Online Student Orientation.

We also want you to know about our Community of Support, which is an online space for all students. The community is facilitated by your advisor, and the space is designed to help you engage, network, ask and answer questions, and get to know your peers and advisor outside of a classroom setting.

Track Your Progress

Your program plan or academic requirement report (ARR) is the best way to track your path to a degree. It allows you to see what courses and requirements still need to be completed. Watch this short video on familiarizing yourself with your ARR in PASS and the Course Offerings webpage:
