The University of Wisconsin-Platteville enjoys a proud tradition of excellence in the choral arts. With five vibrant ensembles, four full-time faculty members, a uniquely innovative program for outstanding graduate students, and a myriad of practicum-based opportunities for undergraduate students, there is a wealth of rewarding experiences awaiting those who love to sing and want to be a part of our choral community.

Each choir is comprised of students pursuing a diverse spectrum of majors, and all singers are welcome, regardless of prior experience or ability. Course credit is available but not required. Our students regularly tour both regionally and internationally and have performed such notable masterworks as Brahms's Ein deutsches Requiem, Mozart's Vesperae solennes de confessore, and Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms.

Students who have recently completed studies in choral music education are exemplars of their craft throughout the tri-state area, utilizing the creative pedagogical techniques and refined skills developed at UW-Platteville in highly successful choral programs at all levels, from early childhood to post-secondary education.

Choral hearings are held each fall and spring prior to the beginning of classes. No outside preparation is required, and all singers will be placed into a choral ensemble. Students wishing to audition for Chamber Choir must prepare a memorized solo and sight-sing.
