Are you an incoming engineering student looking for a supportive place to live and learn? The Engineering Living Learning Community (LLC) is designed just for you! In this community, you’ll live alongside other students from the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science, making it easy to form study groups, share ideas, and build friendships that last well beyond your first year. You'll also gain an enhanced ability to build strong personal and academic connections with each other and with faculty and professionals. The Engineering LLC is located in Dobson Hall.

Eligibility

To join the Engineering LLC, students must be incoming freshman, sophomore, or first-year transfer students at the beginning of the fall term. Students must be in the College of EMS to join.

Events and LLC Course

Events for the Engineering LLC are designed to build connections between members and help members grow personally and professionally. These may include:

  • Events that combine creativity, engineering skills, and collaboration.
  • Interactive events with industry professionals and professors.
  • Presentations and workshops on academic and campus involvement, career exploration, resume building, and interviewing.
  • Social activities on and off campus.

Students are expected to enroll in a course called UWP STUDY 2800: Introduction to Prototyping. This hands-on one credit, eight-week course is designed to help introduce students to the prototyping and design process. The course is held in the Huff Family Innovation Center.
