Motorist Assistance

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Police Department will to assist you with any vehicle on campus property. The City of Platteville Police Department can assist you with vehicles on city streets.

You will need to know:

• Make (Ex: Ford, Chevy, etc.)
• Model (Ex: Taurus, Cavalier, etc.)
• Year of vehicle

Authorization Form must be completed to in the case of unlocking your vehicle.

Jump-starts

Unfortunately, UW-Platteville police officers cannot use state vehicles to jump-start your vehicle. Residence hall students may be able to borrow jumper cables from the front desk. Non-residence hall students and those calling outside of the front desk hours will need to call a service garage.

Note these are only driver's license services, the only full service in the area is in Madison.
