TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO-SSS) is a Federal student services program. We are funded by the U.S. Department of Education and provide a variety of free support services to help our participants become successful college graduates. We provide many services including: academic advising, assistance with accessing campus resources, help with understanding your financial aid package, mentoring, tutoring, opportunities to participate in social/cultural activities, and much more.
Our goal is to help students achieve success. Students who participate in TRIO-SSS have access to exclusive services that include free one-on-one tutoring and your very own academic coach. Your TRIO-SSS advisor/coach can work with you on anything you need help with, including class schedules, degree plans, career choices, financial aid, and any social or personal issue that might impact your college success.
Who is Eligible?
Prospective TRIO-SSS participants must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. and must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria to qualify for our FREE services:
- Be a first-generation college student (neither parent currently has a four-year college degree)
- Be an income-eligible student (based on taxable income level)
- Be a student with a documented disability
Students interested in becoming an TRIO-SSS participant need to complete a short application in person by visiting 103 Warner Hall.
