The UW-Platteville Center for the Arts provides a professional performing arts environment for students to learn about the arts through performance and classroom learning and provides quality performing arts and cultural opportunities for the community and the region.

The Center for the Arts, part of the Office of Event Services, is home to two performance spaces:

The Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall seats 489 people (561 with seats on the pit). The acoustically designed hall uses dense hardwood and concrete surfaces, an extensive set of acoustic control curtains, and numerous sound reflecting panels on and above the stage. The hall boasts a state of the art dimmer system, hydraulically controlled orchestra pit, two 9-foot Steinway grand pianos, and a 40 rank concert organ.

The Brodbeck family has played a significant role in the history and economic development of southwest Wisconsin through their business enterprise, Dick's Supermarkets. The Brodbecks are longtime patrons of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, providing employment for students, career positions for graduates, and resources to support scholarships and arts programming. The Hall is named in recognition of the generosity the Brodbecks have shown UW-Platteville over many years and their dedication to the arts on campus.

The 200-seat flexible Theatre can be arranged in arena, thrust, three-quarter round, or end-stage format. There are seating tiers on two balconies above the main floor level and the movable seating can be arranged to fit any specific event. Catwalks high above the playhouse provide access to lighting and sound systems.

In addition to the performance venues, the Center for the Arts has two music rehearsal rooms, scene shop, costume shop, green room, large dressing rooms for men and women, five individual dressing rooms, and a ticket booth operated by the University Box Office.
