    A Midsummer Night's Dream
    Nov 19, 2025 | 7:30 pm - 9:15 pm | Center for the Arts , Platteville, WI 53818

Love weaves a tangled web in this iconic fairy tale by William Shakespeare. Hermia and her beloved Lysander flee into the forest to avoid Hermia’s arranged marriage to Demetrius. They are pursued by Demetrius himself, along with Helena, who is, in turn, in love with Demetrius. In that same forest, Oberon and Titania – king and queen of the fairies – are having a quarrel of their own. And when Oberon enlists the help of the mischievous Puck, aka Robin Goodfellow, to throw some magic into the mix, everyone - including a hilarious group amateur actors “the rude mechanicals” led by Nick Bottom – gets caught up in the spell. The UW-Platteville Pioneer Players welcome guest artist Tim Gittings, Core Company member of the American Players Theatre (APT), to their production of William Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Gittings will take on the role of Nick Bottom. Tickets: $15 for adults $5 for UW-Platteville students and youth under 18
