Alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville have access to career services offered through the Alumni Career Services Program, a partnership between UW-Platteville's Career and Professional Development Office and the UW-Platteville Alumni Association. We also help to foster alumni-to-alumni connections through the UW-Platteville Alumni Online Community to enhance your professional growth.

Handshake connects students and alumni to a national network of more than 200,000 employers across all fields of work and study. Search and apply for co-ops, internships, on-campus jobs, and full-time employment with this easy-to-use tool.

Career Services Appointments
Our Career and Professional Development Specialists offer confidential consultations and services such as mock interviews, resume and cover letter reviews, and job search assistance to help alumni advance their careers. Fees may apply.

Post-Graduation Survey
If you graduated within the last six months, please complete the Post-Graduation Survey to share where you're working or attending graduate school. Annual Post-Graduation Reports are available online.

Service Levels and Fees for Alumni

Services are available to new graduates for six months after their initial graduation date free of charge. Services are also free to all current members of the Alumni Association who graduated more than six months ago.

Handshake Access
No Fee
Alumni can utilize Handshake to post resumes, view and search employment listings and employer database, and view information on career events.  
Career Specialist Appointments

Meet with a Career Specialist for confidential consultation to assist in planning and carrying out job searches:

  • Job Search Strategies
  • LinkedIn Profiles
  • Resume Review - individualized assessment and advice
  • Professional Correspondence - suggestions on crafting cover letters, thank you letters, and more
    • Mock (practice) Interviews - informal interviews with feedback and tips for improvement or in-person interview or Skype interview

New graduates receive unlimited appointments for six months after graduation.

Members of the Alumni Association receive:

  • Three (3), one-hour appointments at no charge
  • All consultations scheduled after third cost are $25 per appointment*

Non-alumni members: $25 per appointment*

*Payment is due at the time of the appointment.

No Fee
Through the Career and Professional Development Office, alumni have access to hundreds of job search resources, websites, and videos.  
Career Fair Attendance
No Fee
Alumni can attend career fairs as a candidate seeking employment and/or information on prospective employers.
