About the College of EMS
The College of EMS offers ABET-accredited engineering degrees in civil, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical and software engineering, and engineering physics along with degrees in mathematics, broad field science, chemistry, computer science, and sustainable and renewable energy systems.
Student success and access are a priority as evidenced by the inclusion of Student Success Programs, focused on helping students get the most out of their college experience. The nationally award-winning Women in Engineering, Mathematics and Science Program is part of this department and has supported a 65 percent growth in the number of women in the College in the last four years.
The College of EMS places a strong emphasis on hands-on, practical application of theories learned in the classroom through undergraduate research opportunities, placement in co-ops and internships, community engagement projects, and nearly two dozen professional clubs and organizations.
