With an accounting degree from UW-Platteville, you can work virtually anywhere. Accountants are needed to evaluate and manage the financial health of an organization. All advanced accounting courses are taught by faculty who are Certified Public Accountants and will prepare you to be able to certify that an organization is accurately and ethically representing itself and its activities to shareholders.
You can also pursue professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor. Graduates of the accounting program have the second best CPA pass-rate in the region.
As a graduate, you’ll be prepared for careers in the areas of public accounting, governmental, budget analysis, auditing, cost accounting, and tax accounting.
