As new freshmen, there are many things to do to prepare for classes, and our New Student Experience is designed to set you up for success. As you prepare for NSE, we encourage you to review different sections on this site for more information on Placement Testing, resources for Parents and FamiliesRequesting Accommodations, and Frequently Asked Questions.

Ready to get started?

  • Log into your PASS account and complete your Intent to Enroll form.
  • Begin your New Student Experience by selecting “New Student Experience” in the left-hand menu of your PASS account. The date you will select is the date of your on-campus orientation experience. Check out this Step by Step Guide for more detailed information.
  • Register for and take your UW-System Placement Tests. Check out our Placement Testing page for additional information and deadlines.
  • Your academic advisor will contact you over email about advising and registering for classes, so keep checking your email to stay informed about this process.

The NSE fee will appear on your semester billing statement and helps cover materials, student staff, on-campus orientation, and Welcome Weekend activities. Please note the New Student Experience fee for your campus.
