Join us for the spring Engineering Seminar Series as Matt Haase, PE, JSD Professional Services, Inc., presents Urban Stormwater Solutions & Green Infrastructure.
Over the past decade plus, urban development and redevelopment have exploded on to the scene to provide face-lifts to formal industrial/commercial urban centers and provide higher density residential housing. Along with the development influx, local, county and state regulations have ratchet-up the stormwater management requirements and in many places with a specific focus on Green Infrastructure. This seminar will present information on green infrastructure stormwater practices, challenges with meeting stormwater treatment requirements in dense urban environments and a few case studies which JSD has worked on over the recent years detailing some of these project specifics.

About the presenter
Matt Haase has 12 years of experience in land development civil engineering consulting, beginning immediately after graduating from UW-Platteville in December 2013. He has designed land development projects throughout the state of Wisconsin with a specific focus on projects in the Madison / Dane County area. His design experiences stretch across all types of projects from residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and recreation types of project sectors. As the civil engineering practice leader in the Verona, WI office, he leads teams of surveyors, civil engineers, landscape architects and other related design disciplines from initial conception through construction documents. Haase also has valuable construction and field experience in construction observation, administration and engineering which he calls on during his design to create cost effective and construction efficient solutions for projects. Haase received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin since 2018.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Engineering Seminar Series is offered on campus and via zoom. Free and open to the public, these presentations showcase the plan, design, construction, and maintenance of real-world engineering projects and how they change our community. Attendees are eligible for one professional development hour.
