Faculty and Staff Afterhours Permits

University of Wisconsin-Platteville Police will issue special permits to faculty and staff who need to park in the lots during restricted times. There are two types of after hours permits.

Faculty

  • Faculty who regularly work late and are parked between 2 to 6 a.m., may purchase an afterhours permit only valid in dedicated lot.
  • Faculty requesting an afterhours permit must have a current UW-Platteville Staff parking permit.
  • There is an additional cost for an afterhours permit. Contact University Police for amount.

Staff

  • Faculty who regularly work late and are parked between 2 to 6 a.m. may purchase an afterhours permit valid only in a dedicated lot.

Custodial/night staff

After reading the rules for the special overnight permit, log in to the webform by clicking the "I AGREE" button at the bottom of the page.

University Police and the University Parking Advisory Board allow staff, whose normal work shift begins at 3 p.m. or later, to request a special permit for parking. The first permit each year is free, however additional permits, or any changes to the permit will cost the staff member $8.50.

  • This permit is valid 3 to 6 p.m.
  • It is not valid for daytime parking.
  • You may list two vehicles on a single permit.
  • Permit may only be used in vehicles listed on the permit.
    • Using a special permit in a vehicle not listed on the permit may result in a citation.
    • Using a special permit in a vehicle not listed on the permit may result in the permit being revoked. You may also be denied a special permit in the future.
  • The permit cannot be used during a declared UW-Platteville Snow Emergency for parking. Parking in a lot, between 2 to 6 a.m. during a declared snow emergency, will result in a parking citation and the vehicle will be towed.
