Federal Emergency Grants for Students
The federal government has provided emergency aid for college students nationwide who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. UW-Platteville has received $7,023,205 through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to help students who are struggling with expenses such as food, housing, medical expenses, course materials, and childcare after campus operations were disrupted by the virus.
To qualify for ARP funds a student must be Title IV-eligible, they must have be enrolled in at least one on-campus course, and they must have been financially impacted by the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.

UW-Platteville was notified that it had been federally funded through a Department of Education Grant Award Notification on May 25, 2021.
