Using Handshake to Recruit Students
From your Handshake account, you can post open positions, register to attend a career fair, schedule on-campus interviews, or host an employer informational session.
Visit Handshake and create an account within the Handshake network if you haven't already. If you need help, you can use the step-by-step instructions. If you already have an account in the Handshake network, simply search for University of Wisconsin-Platteville or simply Platteville to connect with us. Do not search for “UW-Platteville.”
Once in your account, there are various links on the side of the page where you can post jobs, create events, register for the career fair, and request on-campus interviews. You can also download students’ public resumes, search for resumes, and send messages to students. Students are able to search for positions as well as apply for positions through the Handshake system.
UW-Platteville career fairs connect employers with our community of students and alumni. To learn more and register, visit Career Fairs.
Employers interested in hosting on-campus Interviews can reserve a space in the Markee Pioneer Student Center. Please contact Event Services at 608.342.1451 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Annual Corporate Sponsorships
Through our new corporate sponsorship program, employers now have more opportunities to reach top candidates and increase their visibility on campus. To learn more, visit Corporate Relations.
Professional Conduct Policy
The Career and Professional Development Office follows the National Association of Colleges and Employers Principles for Professional Conduct. Career services and employment professionals are involved in an important process—helping students choose and attain personally rewarding careers and helping employers develop effective college relations programs which contribute to an optimum selection of candidates for their organizations.
