The UW-Platteville Department of Mathematics, you’ll develop your analytical skills, enhance your problem-solving abilities, and discover the tools you need to educate future generations. This degree will provide the skills needed to teach mathematics at either the middle or high school level, as well as providing a solid foundation in mathematics that can be used outside of teaching as well. You'll complete courses in calculus and analytic geometry, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, and statistical methods with applications in addition to courses for your major of choice.

Outside the classroom, you can build on your experience through student clubs and organizations, or community projects like tutoring, volunteering, and student teaching opportunities in community schools.
