Biography

About

Dr. Carolyn Keller serves as Associate Provost  in Academic Affairs and is a tenured faculty member in the Social Sciences department. In her role, she supports the provost's office in curricular and academic programming, provides leadership for all graduate programs and online undergraduate programs,  budgetary oversight of the Office of Professional Program Support, Teaching and Technology Center, Dual Enrollment, Textbook Center, Academic Assessment, and General Education. She guides work in distance learning, strategic program planning and faculty development for the university. A sociologist by training, Dr. Keller is active in the promotion of programming in the liberal arts and social sciences on campus and works diligently to meet campus data needs in strategic planning and program array efforts. Her work has also evolved to support the professional and program development of online and blended learning courses for the university. Dr. Keller joined the university in June 2018 as Director of Academic Assessment and continues to be involved in assessment and accreditation support, including HLC, ABET, ATMAE as well as general education assessment. Prior to coming to UW-Platteville, Dr. Keller was an Associate Professor in the department of Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology at Keene State College in New Hampshire.
