About
Dr. Carolyn Keller serves as the Associate Provost and is a full professor in the Social Sciences department. In her role, she leads the provost's office in curricular and academic programming, provides leadership for all graduate programs and online undergraduate programs, supports budgetary management across academic affairs, is heavily engaged in strategic enrollment planning efforts and supports promotion and tenure, assessment, and accreditation including serving as the ALO. A sociologist by training, Dr. Keller is active in the development of programming integrating the liberal arts with STEM and professional programs and works diligently to meet campus data needs in strategic planning and program array efforts. Major accomplishments in the role include implementation of Canvas OUTCOMES to streamline assessment data collection; the creation of various teaching and learning credentials for instructors including one in online learning for the UW system; successful re-accreditation with HLC, co-development of a strategic enrollment plan, and a new cohort student-success program called Pioneer Thrive. Prior to coming to UW-Platteville, Dr. Keller was an Associate Professor in the department of Sociology, Criminology, and Anthropology at Keene State College in New Hampshire.
