I completed my PhD at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management.. I spent some years teaching face to face in finance and accounting. I was located in Silicon Valley and ended up leaving academia and working for several high tech companies in corporate finance. I also spent a number of years doing global project management related to financial systems, inventory, international taxation and supply chain management for a large semiconductor firm in Silicon Valley.
In 2008 we moved from the Bay Area to Davis, CA. I returned to teaching. I teach some project management, finance, and accounting – both online and face to face. I live in Davis, CA, a rural college town about 20 mi. from Sacramento and about 90 minutes from San Francisco. My daughter and son are both in college in California. Many afternoons find me in the country with our horses and my sheep. In my remaining spare time I do textile art.
