Professional Interests
Broadly, my research focuses on vocational psychology. I am especially interested Psychology of Working perspectives and am passionate about better understanding the ways in which social stratification impacts work experiences across the life span. My hope is to enable a greater number of individuals to engage in decent work that satisfies a wide range of needs.
I am also a licensed clinical psychologist and enjoy working with clients presenting with interpersonal difficulties, substance use concerns, mood and anxiety concerns, and trauma histories. I work from a theoretically integrative framework that draws from person-centered, emotion-focused, interpersonal, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) perspectives. I also strongly believe in the importance of systemic factors and incorporate feminist and multicultural perspectives into my work as well.
