Professional Background
After completing her MA work, Bartusewich spent two years working as an archaeologist for Ethnoscience, Inc., in the Northern Plains (MT, ND, WY, SD). During the completion of her doctorate, Bartusewich spent seven years teaching anthropology, specializing in online course design and implementation at UMass Amherst and Southern New Hampshire University. She also focused her on-campus teaching at UMass and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on student success initiatives before coming to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2019 where she served as Advising Manager for online program students. In this role she increased outreach activities and other initiatives for retention. Becca joined the School of Business in October 2022 in a new capacity as Online Academic Program Manager to work with the online programs and students through a different lens.
About
Bartusewich has lived in or visited most regions of the USA and plans to continue her quest to visit all the national parks in the country. She enjoys hiking with her dogs and mountain biking. Her academic pursuits brought her to Cyprus, where she worked on archaeological projects. She continues to remain involved in archaeology in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
