UW-Platteville reaches credit transfer agreement extensions with UCLA

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has reached credit transfer agreement extensions with the University of California-Los Angeles. The partnership extension ensures UCLA Extension students will continue to have the opportunity to join one of UW-Platteville’s highly-regarded online graduate-level programs.

Under the agreements, a student who completes one of three graduate certificate programs through UCLA Extension can transfer credits towards a UW-Platteville’s master’s degree program.

The agreements include:

  • UCLA’s Supply Chain Management Certificate equates to 12 graduate credits towards UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Integrated Supply Chain Management program.

  • UCLA’s Construction Management Certificate equates to 3 to 12 graduate credits towards UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Engineering program.

  • UCLA’s Communication Systems Certificate equates to 3 to 9 graduate credits towards UW-Platteville’s Master of Science in Engineering program.

“We are excited to continue these agreements, which provide opportunities for students to continue growing their leadership skills and further their education, ” stated Melissa Gavin, Program Manager for Graduate and Collaborative Programs. “These agreements serve to build pathways for students to continue their education by starting with an advance standing in a Master’s Degree program.”

The renewed agreement adds another year to a partnership that was forged in 2012. In total, UW-Platteville and UCLA have four transfer agreements, including the Project Management Certificate used toward the Master of Science in Project Management program.

UW-Platteville maintains similar degree-driven transfer agreements with institutions nationwide. To learn more about the ten master’s degrees offered entirely online through the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, visit Go.UWPlatt.edu/Masters, call 800.362.5460, or email disted@uwplatt.edu.
