On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Division of Professional Studies will host an open house and block party showcasing its many offerings to the public. This free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nohr Gallery located in Ullsvik Hall on the UW-Platteville campus. Refreshments will be served and music will fill the air.
Attendees will meet staff, view highlights from the division, and learn more about new programs and projects. Some of the featured topics include:
- Executive Education
- Continuing Education
- Reentry Education Assistance Program (REAP)
- Corporate Training Center
- Esports
- Collaborative Programs
“Our team is delighted to have an opportunity to share the wonderful innovations we’ve been a part of that help support our university,” said Dr. Craig Wilson, dean of the Division of Professional Studies. “Our Open House Block Party will allow us to speak with our campus community in a fun and informative way.”
The Division of Professional Studies is comprised of three academic departments – the School of Graduate Studies, the Center for Distance Learning and the Continuing Education Institute. Together, all three areas help learners build on their interests and talents to achieve their academic and lifelong learning goals. With an array of resources and programs available, spanning from art classes to online master’s degrees, the Division of Professional Studies has something for everyone – a fact attendees can see for themselves on Nov. 20.
