From Development to Distribution: How Utility Scale Solar Serves our Communities
As Alliant Energy’s largest installation completed to date in Wisconsin, the Grant County Solar Project in Potosi, WI, provides 200MW of renewable energy to the communities Alliant serves. As a key component of the greater 1.1GW Wisconsin Utility-Solar Program completed in 2024, the project represents a commitment to responsible, cost-effective power generation that bolsters a diverse energy mix. This seminar will explore how a project of this scale is developed from the early stages of land acquisition and engineering, through execution and construction, and how future-sighted engineering can enable integration with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
