Pioneering Your Future in STEM
Pioneering Your Future in STEM is a one-day event designed for fifth- through eighth-grade students sponsored by the Women in STEM Program. The event focuses on inspiring students to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Participants will learn about careers that emphasize creative problem-solving, forward-thinking, societal impact, and shaping the future of our world. Although progress has been made, women remain underrepresented in many STEM fields—particularly in engineering, computer science, and the physical sciences. This event is designed to help close that gap by igniting curiosity and building confidence through engaging, hands-on sessions. Participants will strengthen their critical thinking, engage in experimentation, learn the design process, and work to solve real-world challenges in a collaborative, supportive environment. Participants will explore the wide-ranging possibilities within STEM fields and see how these careers contribute to shaping a better future. With more diverse voices needed to drive innovation, Pioneering Your Future in STEM is a meaningful first step toward empowering the next generation of STEM leaders. Chaperoned individuals, school groups, and home school groups are all welcome.
