Teacher Education: A Humanistic Approach to Human Growth and Development and a Rural Partnership with the Platteville Public Library
In this first LAE Faculty Forum of 2026, Dr. Austin Rickels, Assistant Professor of Education, discusses his approach to the subject of human growth and development with a focus on self-actualization and development of the whole child. Dr. Rickels' will share his experience teaching UW-Platteville students in collaboration with the Platteville Public Library to host weekly educational programs that are developmentally-appropriate for the audience.
