Second Harvest Food Bank Volunteer Day with Pioneer Pantry

Join Pioneer Pantry for a meaningful day of service on Thursday, October 17, as we volunteer with Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin in Madison. This event offers a great opportunity to give back to the community while learning more about one of our major pantry partners. Our volunteer shift will run from 8:30 to 11:30 AM, followed by a guided tour of the food bank. After the tour, most vehicles will stop for lunch in the Madison area before heading back to Platteville.

We will depart from UW-Platteville at 6:50 AM sharp from Parking Lot 14. This lot requires a Commuter, Faculty/Staff, or Visitor parking permit. Parking Lot 16, which is directly adjacent, may be used with a Residence Hall parking permit. Please plan to arrive early to ensure an on-time departure. Vehicles will be available for group transportation, but participants are also welcome to drive themselves. If you choose to drive separately, please ensure you arrive at the food bank on time so we can begin our volunteer shift as scheduled.

To help us maintain an accurate roster and ensure space for everyone who would like to participate, please complete the form and any associated tasks using the links provided. We’re excited to serve together and hope you’ll join us for this impactful day of volunteering and learning!
