(Past) Celebration of Strength and Wisdom in Women

UW-Platteville University Women’s Council will be hosting the Celebration of Strength and Wisdom in Women: Inspire Inclusion  on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 3pm-5pm in the University Rooms at the Markee Pioneer Student Center. Inspire Inclusion is the theme of International Women's Day 2024.  The preferred deadline to register is February 20, 2024.

Join UWC during this annual event held to honor the strength and wisdom in women within our community. All gender identities welcome! The celebration will include speakers and the opportunity to network with faculty, staff, students, retirees and community members. We invite all to come together to encourage, support, celebrate and empower each other. Following the International Women’s Day theme, we too are celebrating #InspireInclusion with speakers Isha Paudel, mathematics and data science major; Kim Zielinski, Platteville Middle School Principal; and Yara Lopez, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. Refreshments will be provided.

The event will also recognize the Women of the Year and the Woman of Color of the Year nominees and award winners.
