(Past) Sustainable Solutions Meeting

We are working on a waterfront project for the ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition. Our last meeting for the semester is Tuesday at 6:30 in Busby 300A where we will work on a general city plan and discuss next semester's design tasks. We were given an "existing" old industrial site that we will revitalize with new business, housing, and multi-modal transportation (and much more). We follow ENVISION standards for sustainability, and will use other standards to support this (such as LEED). Once designed, we will use Sketchup to 3D model the project. Additional tasks include cost estimating and stormwater design. This is a civil and environmental engineering heavy design competition, but has a lot of other components to it.
