Using the framing device of an all-American, yet sinister, carnival game, this one-act, semi-revue portrays a group of historical figures who attempted (successfully or not) to assassinate Presidents of the United States. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by John Weidman, this Tony Award-winning musical explores what the presence of these assassins in American history says about the ideals of the country, the fragility of democracy, and the dark side of the American experience. More relevant than ever, this musical is bold, original, disturbing, and perhaps the most controversial musical ever written.

Assassins runs March 29 at 11:00am, March 29-April 1 at 7:30pm, and April 2 at 2:00pm in the Center for the Arts Brodbeck Concert Hall.
