SWEet Advice from Industry

Be prepared for the Career Fair and get advice from industry representatives. SWEeet Advice from Industry will start with a panel discussion with industry representatives. The companies attending are yet to be determined but examples could be Plexus, Alliant Energy, Trane Technologies, Anderson Windows, John Deere, WE Energies, Georgia Pacific/Philips-Medisize and more. Remember that these companies hire a variety of STEM majors and other majors such as business, human resources and accounting.  Students have the opportunity to ask the company representatives questions such as, but not limited to, networking, internships, co-ops, interviewing, job searching, resumes, career advice, etc. This event will take place in Sesquicentennial and Busby Halls (locations TBD) for the introduction and panel discussion. See your email for registration in January. This event is hosted by the Society of Women Engineers but is not for SWE members only. It is for all majors and genders.

Snacks and appetizers will be offered starting at 5:00pm and the panel discussion begins at 5:30pm. After the panel discussion, there will be breakouts. Breakout rooms will be led by company representatives that present on the topics pertaining to the upcoming career fair and entering the work force. Many of the company representatives are alumni.
