(Past) Love of Learning - 80 Years of Renaissance Art

Giotto, Brunelleschi, and the changing perspective of Pre-Renaissance Florence.

The great Florentine innovators, Giotto di Bondone (c.1267 - 1227) and Filippo Brunelleschi (1377 - 1446) transformed a thousand-year-old Medieval artistic traditions and directly anticipated and influenced the outpouring of culture we know as The Renaissance and changing way artists (and their audiences) would see this new world.

Join John Madden, a graduate of Rutgers University, who lives locally and is an art aficionado, and has taught in the public and private schools in Viroqua, on a visual tour through these two artists' work.
