(Past) Alcohol, Accountability & Leadership with Dr. Lori Hart

We are excited to bring Dr. Lori Hart, a champion of promoting health and safety on college campuses, to campus this September! Dr. Lori Hart approaches difficult conversations with science and human behavior along with dignity and respect — and a whole lot of humor! Dr. Lori Hart will presenting two different programs, An Hour of Power and A Few Too Many...Our Campus Culture of Alcohol. Read more about the programs below:

An Hour of Power

3600 seconds.  Sixty minutes.  One hour.  Using research and decades of experience, Dr. Lori Hart creates space for leaders to think about the end in mind for their organization.  Using research and stories around leadership, management and power, officers will have the opportunity to think about their role in creating change and making an impact within their organization and their community. You can lead. You can manage.  But who holds the power within your organization?  What or who is holding you back from doing your job?

A Few Too Many…Our Campus Culture of Alcohol

People drink. College students drink more. The reality is drinking is a public health issue and is among the most challenging problems facing college campuses and students’ ability to be successful. So, what do we do with this information? This keynote focuses on the culture of alcohol, providing activities that get students talking and understanding a path they can take for a healthier life. Included in this conversation is discussion about the life you aspire to live, brain development, biology and the impact of people and environments based on the harm reduction framework. And while this is a tough topic, this program provides humor and an ability to reflect.
