Time to Complete Degree

On average, students starting as new freshmen who earned a Construction Management degree took approximately 8 terms/4 years, and for an Engineering Technology Management degree, approximately 9 terms/4.5 years on average. This is extremely like the other UW schools with programs in these categories. For Engineering Technology Management especially, the substantial number of internal transfer students from other majors may impact the average time to degree, as students who change their major often take longer to complete a degree as their course sequencing is interrupted.

Scholarships

The AETM department has an extensive list of scholarships. The department maintains a scholarship committee for both CM and ETM. It is a joint committee represented by both departments. The process for awarding scholarships starts in January and is completed by the beginning of May each academic year.

The Department of Applied Engineering and Technology Management is committed to supporting student success through comprehensive scholarship opportunities. Our university employs a streamlined application process designed to maximize student access to financial aid while ensuring appropriate awards to qualified recipients.

Students submit a single scholarship application, which automatically matches them to all scholarships for which they meet the basic eligibility requirements. Upon submission, students receive a personalized list of "recommended opportunities" - scholarships they are eligible for, but which require additional documentation or materials to complete their application. These additional requirements may include letters of recommendation, supplemental essays, or other supporting materials that allow scholarship committees to make final award determinations.

Scope of Available Opportunities

UW-Platteville provides scholarships specifically available to students majoring??? in Applied Engineering and Technology Management. These departmental scholarships complement additional funding opportunities available to students through their enrollment in the College of Business, Industries, Life Sciences, and Agriculture (BILSA), as well as university-wide scholarship programs. This multi-tiered approach ensures that our students have access to the broadest possible range of financial support throughout their academic journey.
