April is sexual assault awareness month

Please join the campus community in raising awareness and speaking out against sexual violence.  While April is a month dedicated to sexual assault awareness, it is an issue that impacts people 24/7, 365 days a year.  There will be various programs on campus throughout the month, ranging from speakers and panel discussions to film screenings and Residence Hall presentations.  Please take the time to be a part of these opportunities to support those who have been impacted.  If you have been personally impacted by sexual harrassment and/or sexual assault, please use the link below for information and options that are available to you.

University Counseling Services (UCS) is the primary source of mental health counseling for students on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus.  Confidential, short-term counseling is provided to assist students with personal, social, developmental, academic, or career concerns related to their education progress, personal growth, and general well-being.

Counseling Services staff are available to faculty and staff for consultation on a variety of mental health topics.  We offer written resources, programs or presentations upon request.   We welcome the opportunity to share information with your classes, departments, or organizations about the services we provide to campus. If you have a disability and desire accommodation, please advise us of your request as far in advance as possible by calling Deirdre Dalsing 608-342-1865.
