Kathy R Wagner

As Budget Director for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Kathy Wagner provides oversight to the university's multi-faceted budget; forecasts and analyzes solutions for efficient use of the funds to achieve fiscal stability; develops and implements policies and procedures; and is building an infrastructure to ensure smooth operations.  Additionally, she supervises budget professionals, equips account managers with financial knowledge to empower them to be good stewards of the resources they manage, serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership, and liaises with the Universities of Wisconsin Administration.

In addition to seven years of financial experience in the corporate world, she has seven years of budget experience in higher education, specifically at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.  Initially, she contributed her skills within the context of a college, then within a division, and now on behalf of the entire university.  

Kathy joined UW-Platteville in 2010.  Minnesota State University, Mankato conferred her degree in Business Administration with emphases in Management and Industrial Relations, as well as minors in Computer Science and Economics.
