Kathy R Wagner

Kathy Wagner earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Since joining UW-Platteville in 2010, she has worked in several areas across campus, including ten years in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science, serving as the EMS Business Manager for four of those years. In August 2021, Kathy joined Academic Affairs as the division’s Business Manager.  In this role, she ensured the Academic Affairs Division's resources were managed wisely by creating cohesive systems for budgeting, analysis, and forecasting; provided oversight to the Academic Affairs budgets; trained/mentored on budgetary topics, standardized methods, processes, and efficiencies; and liaised with departments across campus.  In April 2022, Kathy was appointed the Interim Budget Director in Financial Services.  In this role, she oversees budget planners, provides budgetary management, and ensures the strategic use of institutional resources.
