About
Dr. Truesdell received her first Master’s degree in Forensic Anthropology from The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), her second Masters’s degree in Forensic Archaeological Science from University College London (UCL), and her doctorate from The University of Oxford. Her research interests include utilizing advances in medical imaging technology to access the skeletal information of currently living individuals, the ways in which culture and lifestyle inform upon profiling accuracy, and age estimation in mature adults.
Dr. Truesdell is the consulting anthropologist for the counties of Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, and Waukesha in southeast Wisconsin and teaches courses in forensics, death investigation, decomposition, and forensic anthropology.
In addition to her anthropological work, Dr. Truesdell has also been certified in medico-legal death Investigation by the American Board of Medico-Legal Death Investigators (ABMDI) since 2012.
