Tyler J Tollefson

Tyler Tollefson began employment at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2011 as a Videographer in the Media Technology Services department, creating instructional and promotional videos and providing live event video streaming and recording support. In 2015, his role expanded to include designing, installing, and supporting classroom audio-visual presentation systems. In 2022, Tyler's role transitioned to his current role as a Learning Experience Designer. He specializes in creating instructional multimedia for use in online or in-person delivery.

Tyler has been deeply involved in shared governance during his time at UW-Platteville, serving on the Academic Staff Professional Development Committee, Committee for Elections and Appointments, Bylaws and Constitution Committee, Personnel Commission, and has previously served on Academic Staff Senate (2019-2023, chair 2020-2023). He currently chairs the Universities of Wisconsin Academic Staff Representatives Council (ASRC), where he also serves UW-Platteville's representative, and serves on the Academic Staff Professionals Representations Organization (ASPRO) board of directors.

Tyler lives in Platteville, Wisconsin with his wife and two children. He enjoys sports, theatre, running, biking, and kayaking in his spare time.
