Biography
Jeffrey Strange's designs have been seen at Tennessee State University (The Birthday Party and Ruined – American College Theatre Festival Region IV Finalist), Weathervane Theatre (Hair, Ragtime, Legally Blonde, Music Man), Stagedoor Manor (The Wild Party, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, The Producers) and East Carolina University Summer Theatre (The Fantasticks). Previously, he served as Charge Artist for the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Jeffrey received his MFA from Wayne State University as part of the Hilberry Repertory Theatre where he designed The Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet, The Seagull, Pippin and Lie of the Mind, which represented the United States at the Moscow International Theatre Festival. While at UW-Platteville, Jeffrey has created scenic or lighting designs for Betrayal, Macbeth, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Secret Garden, God of Carnage, Tartuffe, Death and the Maiden, Guys and Dolls, Ghosts, The Normal Heart, Godspell, The Pillowman, The Crucible, Agnes of God, Company, OR, Marat/Sade, Eurydice, The Drowsy Chaperone, Stupid F***ing Bird, A Streetcar Named Desire, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Waiting for Godot, Noises Off, and 1776. He has also designed Nunsense, Fiddler on the Roof, Shrek the Musical, The Last Five Years, and Mary Poppins for the Heartland Festival and Peter and the Starcatcher for the Platteville Summer Arts Festival.
