Dr. Mohammad Rabbani

Dr. Rabbani earned his PhD in Materials Science at Osaka City University in Japan and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Research in the Rabbani Lab is multidisciplinary. Students receive broad training in inorganic and organic synthesis. His current research interests lie in the synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and porous organic polymers featuring with heteroatom functionalities for selective gas capture, water purification, drug storage, and construction of heterogeneous catalysts. He also has research interest in the synthesis of porphyrins and porphyrin-based supramolecules for light harvesting applications. Dr. Rabbani has active and funded research projects to promote undergraduate research at UW-Platteville.
