Biography

About

Dr. Pugh received her PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from Lehigh University focusing on Reactive surfactants in Mini-emaulsion polymerization. Master of Science in Environmental and Chemical Sciences from McNeese State University and The Institute of Science, Mumbai (Physical Chemistry) and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Xavier's College, University of Mumbai in India. 

Her technical expertise include Emulsion latex polymer synthesis, Gas chromatography, Gel permeation chromatogrphy, capillary hydroynamic fractionation, dynamic light scattering, UV/Vis Spectroscopy, NMR, FTIR, Conductomteric tirtation and TEM.

Since arriving at UW-Platteville, Dr. Pugh has taught the lecture course for Introductory Chemistry (1020), General Chemistry II (1240), and Chemistry for Engineers (1450) and the lab course for Survey of General Chemistry (1050), General Chemistry I and II (1140 and 1240), and Chemistry for Engineers (1450). Additionally, Dr. Pugh has served as a Research Supervisor for an undergraduate project related to the synthesis and characterization of composite polymers for 3-D printing applications directed and funded by Dr. Joseph Wu (Summer 2019).
