I earned both my M.A. (2001) and Ph.D. (2003) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Philosophy, with a graduate minor in Political Science (specializing in Political Theory). I earned my B.A. from Bowdoin College, double majoring in Philosophy and English Literature. I have teaching and research interests in several areas of philosophy, including biomedical ethics, environmental ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of sport, and the history of ethics. Prior to my joint, tenure-track appointment with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Richland, I taught at UW-Madison, Virginia Commonwealth University, Longwood University, and Xavier University of Louisiana.
