Ele Mooney

Ele Mooney (alias Munjeli) was raised in the Driftless region. She has a Computer Science degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington with undergraduate research in Online Deliberation, a field of electronic democracy that includes election systems and civic engagement. For more than a decade, she specialized in innovation engineering in Seattle and Silicon Valley working mostly in high compliance cloud automation, containerization, and IoT. Her jobs included contracts, consulting  or full time work at Google, JPL/NASA, and Lucasfilm. 

She moved home in 2022 to be closer to family and launched her own startup Farmers and Robots to build advanced farm automation for family farms growing food for human consumption. She is currently enrolled at UW Madison as an MSE student in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and Control Systems. An aspiring locavore, most of her food comes from five family farms in the Driftless. She lives in Dubuque, Iowa with the most beautiful cat in world, Shirley.
