Teresa Miller has been a counselor at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville since 2013. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience treating anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD and trauma.
Her interest in counseling began with volunteerism during high school and college. She was inspired to see individuals she met overcome the challenges and stressors affecting their lives. After graduating in 2006 with a Sociology major and Psychology minor, she felt a push to continue learning about social justice. She attended The University of Chicago and earned Masters in Social Work in 2009, gaining so much while learning and working with Chicago Public High School students and helping them transition to college.
Teresa is grateful to now be supporting students at UW-Platteville. She enjoy helping others find solutions to what’s happening in their lives and believes no one should feel bad for seeking out ways to better themselves, and that counseling is a brave way to focus on making positive change.
