Biography
About
Dr. Marni earned her PhD in Electrophysiology, focusing on the regulations of calcium (Ca) ion channel from the Department of Pathophysiology, from Oita University School of Medicine in Oita, Japan. She received her Master of Science in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Dr. Marni had postdoctoral training on ion-channel biophysics in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research interest lies in the areas of structure-function relationships in cardiac voltage-dependent calcium channels and the mechanism of action of pharmacological agents and dietary supplements.
